The business reached out to let me know they did increase prices slightly, which is why I was charged a bit more. I would have known that if I received a receipt but that's ok. I went back again and really enjoyed their fish porridge. I ordered a pigs kidney porridge and they gave me a 2nd fish porridge. They were really busy Friday so I think they got my order confused. We also got the Chinese donut and it was so fresh.
I love this restaurant! It definitely has a hole in the wall feel. They specialize in Cantonese style rice porridge and have all the classic flavors. I get the fish porridge and I love how delicious and comforting it is. The portion sizes are generous. And make sure you order the Chinese donut which goes perfectly with porridge. They also do take out orders. And the price can't be beat! But beware, they only take cash!

We came as a party of two, thankfully beat the rush as we saw more people line up to be seated. //FOOD// Porridge (fish): very flavorful! My husband who grew up eating porridge doesn't buy porridge since his family makes it all the time. He was left impressed at how good porridge can be. The fish is not "fishy" at all and soft Ca Thang Long: wow so impressive! I also go to another location for this but this one was better. A nice char at the bottom and very aromatic //PRICE// At time of visiting porridge was $11.50 and the fish was around $26 or $28? //SERVICE// The guy at the cashier who is a family member was so nice and told me about the history of the place. Food was fairly fast despite being busy //OVERALL// Love this place!
Came in today for lunch and we loved everything that we ordered. The chicken porridge was so comforting, but I gotta admit that the fish porridge is truly amazing. It was very flavorful and the ginger elevates the dish even more. We also paired the porridge with the Chinese donuts and I can dream of this combination all day. The salty fish fried rice was very tasty and so was the #38 that we took some to go. Definitely worth the visit and would love to come back here when we're around.
Husband craving their hu tieu ca(fish noodles soup). I got wonton and we also order the special papaya liver. Tastes so good same as 30 yrs ago. Not sure if they changed owner but it's still taste the same as 30 yrs ago. And too surprised 1 unisex restroom is so clean. Food comes out so fast.
